back to top What are grOW's Message Board Rules and Guidelines?
Whether this is your first time online or you're a seasoned online user, we've spelled out our house rules for you here. Generally speaking, these rules simply require respect and good manners. Use common sense and you'll feel right at home.
OUR SPECIFIC HOUSE RULES ARE:
- We live by words online, so we don't allow obscene, racist or sexually explicit language. We also reserve the right to remove postings that defame or insult anyone, and notes that are abusive or hateful. Any harassing notes or postings that might be construed as stalking will be deleted and made available to the proper law enforcement officials. We also reserve the right to remove notes that are off the subject or not in English.
- No solicitations or advertisements are allowed. This includes advertisements for your business or latest get-rich-quick scheme. Such notes add clutter and devalue conversation.
- You may not suggest or encourage illegal activity. grOWtv.net will assist law enforcement officials.
- You must have copyright ownership of all material that you post on our bulletin boards and in our chats. No articles, recipes, song lyrics, art or graphics may be posted without the express written consent of the copyright holder.
- You must respect the privacy of individuals. This means no posting of phone numbers, addresses, social security numbers or any other private information.
- Good manners online means that you don't post the same note more than once. The online word for posting many times on one topic is "spamming." We don't allow that.
- You participate at your own risk on the bulletin boards, in chat and in e-mail. You take responsibility for postings under your identification and use the information provided here at your own risk. grOWtv.net takes no responsibility for the content or opinions posted here.
- grOWtv.net reserves the right to remove any postings (although it has no duty to do so).
- By posting to any portion of grOWtv.net, you agree to abide by grOW tv’s Terms of Use.
- Use your common sense and have a wonderful time at grOWtv.net.

back to topI am interested in making an online transaction on your site. How do I know if the site is secure or insecure?
If you are using Internet Explorer 4.0 you will see a little lock in the status bar at the bottom of the Web page. Double-click on this icon and you will see the exact type of security used.
If you are using Netscape 3.0 you will see a solid key with a blue background as an indication of a secured site.
If you are using Netscape 4.0 the "lock" icon appears in two places within the window-Main Menu Command Toolbar (top) and Status Line (bottom,
far left-hand corner). The lock is always open until a user accesses a secure site. Once this takes place the icon "locks" and becomes highlighted.
back to topI am having problems connecting to one of your pages. When I do, my system locks up. What’s going on?
There are several possibilities:
A browser error may have occurred. If this is the case, close the browser, reopen it, and try again.
If other people can access the site, it may be a problem with your Web page cache. Clear your cache and then try reloading the site again.
Your ISP (Internet Service Provider) may have a problem with their servers. Try accessing other pages, and if the problem persists, contact your ISP.
Occasionally the server generating our pages goes down. Be patient. We have engineers on call at all times to resolve problems such as these.
